India's Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE) won a mega order from Sonatrach-Algeria

Indian multi-national Larsen & Toubro (L&T), via its secondary Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE), said it has won a huge order from Sonatrach-Algeria.

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering to build gas plants in Algeria

The Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) order is for the establishment of three central processing (CPF) facilities in Algeria’s Adrar province.

The fields included in the deal are Hassi Ba Hamou, Reg Mouaded Field, Hassi Tidjerane Field and Tinerkouk Field.

Process facilities comprises separation, compression system, mercury removal, gas dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control and similar offsite and utilities.

The project maximises modularisation, which diminish the site construction works and attains standardisation across the fields.
All modules will be manufactured in house at Larsen & Toubro’s manufacturing facilities, the company noted.

The contract was awarded on a lump sum turn key (LSTK) basis via international competitive bidding.

The company stated that bagging the order from Sonatrach reflects the confidence of oil and gas majors in their capacity to carry out huge-projects for the oil and gas processing industry worldwide.

Arranged under offshore, onshore, construction, modular fabrication and engineering services verticals, LTHE delivers ‘design to build’ engineering and construction solutions across the hydrocarbon spectrum.
