'PLEXCONCIL' the new virtual platform for plastic export

 The Plastics Export Promotion Council of India (PLEXCONCIL), the trade body for plastics exports bankrolled by the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has introduced the PLEXCONCIL mobile app for plastic exporter members and trade fraternity, the app is dedicated to the nation’s plastics exporters. The app can easily be downloaded from a phones playstore.

 
The PLEXCONCIL app has all the key features of a Business to Business export app in addition its a first app to provide a marketplace to connect its buyers and sellers on a 24X7 basis, where every member is allowed to display 3 products on this virtual marketplace. It also provides Business Tools and facilitates Inquiries for the business. It's a platform which also gives information on export schemes and various trade nitices by the Union Ministry. It maintains a seperate section of Events & Exhibitions for exporters.
 
 
Mr. Ravish Kamath, Chairman, PLEXCONCIL, quoted, “PLEXCONCIL app is a great aggregator tool that brings together all the plastic exporters, especially MSMEs on to a single platform available on mobile phones or digital devices. This is an ideal time for PLEXCONCIL to launch the app considering that every exporter is looking for new business development opportunities in the post COVID-19 scenario and geo-political shifts in global trade dynamics. The app offers unique Buyer-Seller Connect, Business Tools and Business Inquiry generation opportunities for those exporters targeting the US, Asia and the UAE amongst others. PLEXCONCIL plans to increase India’s role in the global plastics export market and a step to actively bring on board Indian exporters and motivate them to export more.”
 
 
The Indian Government is vigorously probing to start working on 18 plastic parks that will boost exports and domestic production of plastics, this in return is expected in future to increase competitiveness and investments, obtain environmentally sustainable growth and consolidate capacities in the plastics sector towardso job creation. The Council believes that the Indian Plastics Industry has an immense growth opportunities with the advantage of lower per capita consumption with low labour cost and having access to skilled manpower and training centers as compared to world average.
 
 
Mr. Arvind Goenka, Vice Chairman, PLEXCONCIL, added that "India currently ranks among the top five consumers of polymers in the world and the PLEXCONCIL app has the ability to unite 50,000 plus plastic processing units which is going to employ over 40 lakh trade constituents across the value chain. Plastic is amidst the fastest-growing industries in the world. The plastics industry in India would be making a significant contribution to the economic development and growth of various key sectors in the country. The plastic processing industry has the potential to bring in a flow of foreign investments and make India a global manufacturing hub.”
