India is the most popular country in Kenya for medical care: Mandaviya

India leads the world in the production of generic medications on a large scale, accounting for 20% of the world market by volume, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

William Samoei Ruto, the visiting president of Kenya, was present when he gave his speech at the India-Kenya Trade and Investment Forum.

According to Mandaviya, our business owners "find it easier to do business with each other." Many Indians have been enticed to settle in Kenya by this long-standing trust. He emphasized that India has made significant advancements in two key areas, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, from which Kenyans can profit. As the "pharmacy of the world," India "also stayed true to its reputation by supplying nearly 100 countries with vaccines and 150 countries, including those in the developed world, with increased supply of relevant medicines," he said.

"India is the biggest destination for medical treatment for the people of Kenya," Mandaviya added, praising Indian companies as ideal partners for Kenya. India has developed over time into a top medical value travel destination since it performs well across a number of metrics that gauge the general standard of care. According to him, the government has opened a site to encourage medical value travel, and this platform will make it easier for foreigners from all over the world to receive treatment in India. Kenyans and people throughout the world now have easier access to healthcare thanks to India's reasonably priced, high-quality medications and healthcare infrastructure. We are delighted to help with this even more," he said.

India is among the top investors in Kenya, according to the Kenya Investment Authority. There are more than 200 Indian businesses operating in a number of areas, including banking, agro-based products, communications, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and IT and ITES.
