India-UAE trade increases by 30% after the CEPA agreement

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has resulted in a 30% rise in commerce between the two nations.

Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, the diplomatic adviser to the president of the UAE, stated at the India Global Forum that the two nations "aim exceeding $100 billion" in yearly bilateral trade. The achievements since 2015 are simply too many to list them all. An outstanding relationship has evolved into one that is strategic and appropriate for future relationships.

At a panel discussion with Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar at the Abu Dhabi Global Market, he stated, "I was speaking to the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, last week and he was telling me, we don't really have the official figures yet, but we are seeing about a 30% increase in trade following the signing of Cepa" (ADGM).

He noted that the degree of collaboration had expanded past conventional fields like energy and trade to cutting-edge ones like startups, artificial intelligence, education, and space, which will "redefine the partnership and help it go to a higher orbit."

According to the minister, "there are more Indian nationals living overseas than in any other country." The UAE is also India's second-largest export market.
