Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy announced that they had secured a 225 MW solar project in Gujarat.
According to a business release, a top PSU developer issued a tender for a turnkey EPC package to build a 225 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV project in Gujarat, and Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a domestic renewable energy EPC Company, emerged as the L1 bidder.
"We are excited to announce our first domestic order of FY26 from a very reputable PSU developer and continue to build on our strong position in the Gujarat market," stated Chandra Kishore Thakur, CEO of SWREL Global.
With a total portfolio of about 22.6 GWp (including projects that have been commissioned and are in various phases of construction), SWREL offers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid, and energy storage solutions.
Additionally, it oversees a portfolio of 8.7 GWp solar power plants under operation and maintenance (O&M), including those built by outside companies.
28 nations across India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia, and the Americas are served by Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited.
