The third Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between Tanzania and India took place in Dar es Salaam with the goal of reviewing and enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of public infrastructure, trade, digital and healthcare.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the meeting was chaired by Felister Rugambwa, Director of the Asia and Australasia Department in Tanzania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, and Janesh Kain, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa) in India's MEA. Kain also paid a visit to Ambassador Samwel William Shelukindo, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, outside of the negotiations.

According to the MEA, both teams examined the whole range of bilateral relations during the discussions, concentrating on trade and investment, development partnerships, digital public infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, culture, and people-to-people interactions. In addition to bilateral collaboration, officials expressed pleasure with their close coordination at the UN and other multilateral venues and shared opinions on regional and global topics of shared concern.

The next round of Foreign Office Consultations will take place in India, according to the MEA. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council and President of Zanzibar, United Republic of Tanzania, was invited by CP Radhakrishnan, Vise President of India, to make an official visit to India from July 17–20. First Lady Mariyam Mwinyi accompanied him.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, President Mwinyi and Vise President CP Radhakrishnan examined the whole range of India-Tanzania relations and looked into new ways to increase bilateral cooperation in fields like mining, construction, water systems, teak wood, blue economy, tourism, technology, health, and education.

The statement claims that President Mwinyi had bilateral talks with the Indian Vise President. Both presidents examined the whole range of ties between Tanzania and India and looked at new ways to increase bilateral cooperation in sectors including mining, construction, water systems, teak wood, blue economy, tourism, technology, health, and education.

The statement also stated that recent growth in bilateral commercial and investment ties as well as development cooperation were viewed favorably by both parties. The Vise President of India was kindly invited by President Mwinyi to visit Tanzania on important business. S Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, paid the visiting dignitary a visit.

The talks centered on the two nations' extensive development relationship, which included the growth of IIT Madras Zanzibar as a Center of Excellence of Higher Education in Africa.
