Hindustan Power has inaugurated 435 megawatt solar power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh

A significant step forward for the state, this 435 MWp Solar Power plant will help Uttar Pradesh achieve its target of 22,000 MW of renewable energy by 2026–2027, further solidifying the state's transition to clean and dependable energy sources. After a fair and competitive process, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited awarded the project in April 2025. It would provide the state with clean electricity for the next 25 years. This project will contribute to sustainable growth in the neighbourhood and generate new jobs in addition to green energy.

“Our teams are excited to get started with the Lalitpur project office now that it is open, and we look forward to working with the local community as we move forward with this solar initiative,” stated Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power.

Ratul Puri continued, "As we go forward, we are committed to providing dependable, environmentally friendly energy that not only runs homes and businesses but also contributes to the creation of a cleaner, bigger future for future generations."

Hindustan Power will start mobilization efforts, such as site development, labour engagement, and stakeholder coordination, once the project office is up and running. The Lalitpur solar project is an essential aspect of Hindustan Power's continuous efforts to expand renewable energy in India, underscoring the business's focus on completing projects on schedule and forming enduring partnerships.

The company's objective of achieving a 5 GW clean energy portfolio is also supported by this project, which helps India move toward more sustainable electricity sources.
